You’d probably be surprised at how many people think I’m vegan or vegetarian just because I am a Holistic nutritionist! Although I tried it for a few weeks years ago, I didn’t feel as healthy as I do now when I eat a more paleo-style diet. Everybody’s body differs. Bacon is not something I eat every day haha but on weekends, it’s a treat. Just like meat, bacon is not created equal.
I use Barons Of Beef now for the majority of my meat. They sent me some samples to try before I began recommending them. It is a meat delivery service that offers hormone-free, pasture raised animal product (primarily chicken, beef, and pork). This is a brilliant idea, if you ask my opinion. Buying meat that’s good for you and of high quality can be confusing.
It’s important to remember that all meat is not created equal. You should look for meats that are:
- pasture raised
- Antibiotic free
- Free to roam (not always locked in cages!)
- Grass fed beef

This recipe, which is very easy to prepare, is perfect for a side dish during the holidays.
