You may have felt off and gone to your doctor looking for answers. But you were told “It is nothing”, “It is just IBS”, or “It is just stress”. This has happened to you before…
- I had Celiac Disease and a Parasite
- I have low iron
- When my cycle was broken
It could have been the thyroid, hormones, weight, digestion, energy or a combination.
There are other tests that you can do in addition to what is available on your document. These can be very revealing.

Cortisol Saliva Test
Why Do It?
- You’ve experienced a period of stress
- Sleeping problems (can’t sleep or you wake up at night)
- Even if you had a good night’s sleep the previous evening, you are still tired.
- You may be experiencing anxiety, brain fog or
- Unexpected weight gain around the abdomen
How it Works:
- A test kit is mailed to you with four little test tubes
- The spit must be spitted into the ear 4 times a day (at specific times).
What You Learn:
- The chart shows your cortisol levels
- Depending on whether your cortisol is high, low or normal, you can use specific nutrients to restore balance. Reduce it or increase it to improve your energy, sleep, and weight.
IgG Food Sensitivity Test
Why Do It?
- You experience unexplained symptoms of digestion (chronic constipation or diarrhea, IBS and gas).
- If you have skin symptoms that are not explained (eczema on your arms, red bumps, acne), then consult a dermatologist.
- Undiagnosed seasonal allergies
- You get a cold or the flu more than once per year
- Herpes or cankers are frequent breakouts
How it Works:
- The test kit includes the necessary equipment to perform a “blood spot” (prick the finger and place the blood spot on a piece paper).
What You Learn:
- The test ranks the 95 most common foods on a numbering scale, so that you can determine which foods are sensitive.
Not all companies that test for food sensitivities are the same. Stero-Chrom is the company that I use. They subscribe to the College of the American Pathologists’ proficiency testing program to monitor the results of the tests independently.
Tests for Hormones in Saliva and Blood Spots
Why Do It?
- You may have hormonal imbalances (you might not get your period or you may get them too frequently).
- You have difficulty conceiving, or you are experiencing miscarriages.
- You’ve gained weight without making any changes to your diet or exercise, especially in the hips, butts & thighs.
- You suffer from PMS, cramps, and heavy periods
- Your Synthroid dosage keeps increasing if you have thyroid issues
- You lack sex drive
How it Works:
- Like the cortisol test, you will receive a kit that includes the necessary equipment to perform a saliva and ‘blood spot” (prick your finger and place some blood on paper).
What You Learn:
- Learn how to accurately measure all of your hormones that are responsible for metabolism and weight, energy, and reproduction.
- This test can be used by men as well and is not only for women.
